Subscription Directions for Marin Genealogical Society Mailing List
What is MarinGenSoc-L@rootsweb.com?
This mailing list is established for those who are interested in corresponding with, or learning about the activities of, the Marin County [California] Genealogical Society. Activities of The Society and meeting announcements will be posted to the list.
This is also a place for discussions of genealogy in general. Society members on the list will have knowledge they can share regarding genealogy in Marin County; however, queries that require record look-ups are to be referred to the Society's research committee members. Other appropriate topics are genealogically related humor postings (we all need a break from the ancestor search!) and software discussions.
For questions about this list, contact the list administrator at MarinGenSocfirstname.lastname@example.org.
As the number of messages posted to the MarinGenSoc email discussion list is low, the best option is to subscribe in List Mode rather than Digest Mode. The advantages are that you will receive individual messages with a meaningful subject heading, and that notices of important events and last minute changes will be received in a timely manner.
